NT Power has retained a third-party contractor, Brass Inc., to perform the underground cable renewal work in the Stonehaven subdivision area with a planned construction start in October 2026. More information about upcoming phases will be available in the future.
Work on Phase 1 is currently underway, with an anticipated completion date of November 30, 2026. Any changes and updates in project timelines will be posted on this page.
About this Project
NT Power is committed to delivering safe and reliable electricity to our customers. As part of that commitment, we will be working in the Stonehaven neighbourhood to replace the aging underground electric utility infrastructure. These upgrades will improve the reliability and quality of service for all customers in the area.
To complete this work in a safe manner, it has been identified that brief power interruptions will be required. NT Power will provide advance notice to affected customers when the power outage times have been finalized. NT Power will continue to post live updates on its website and social media to enable our customers to track changes to the construction work and scheduled outages.
What To Expect
To complete this work, brief power interruptions will be required, for which you will be notified in advance. If, for any reason, extended outages are required, an extended notification lead time will be given. Every effort will be made to reduce the frequency and duration of outages.
Due to the nature of the work, there will be construction-related noise, dust, and lighting from the equipment and trucks, though every effort to minimize this will be made.
Access to the roadway will be maintained. Temporary sidewalk closures or pedestrian detours may be in place while the work is underway, with signs in place to direct pedestrians as needed. Clear and defined walking paths will be maintained during construction to ensure pedestrian safety.
Every effort will be made to minimize disruptions as much as possible. When the work is complete, any disturbances to property or roadways will be restored to "as good or better" condition.
