Backup Generation Options
Less than 50kW
For backup generation less the 50kW whose sole purpose is to supply the facility loads when utility power supply is not available. No process or forms are required by NT Power. ESA inspection is still required.

50kW or greater
- A declaration form for emergency backup generators 50kW or larger, whose sole purpose is to supply facility loads when utility power supply is not available will need to be completed and submitted to NT Power.
- Declaring a generator as solely emergency backup may reduce requirements for SCADA monitoring, settlement charges and a connection agreement.
- This form is NOT for generators that may be used for load displacement including global adjustment curtailment and peak shaving.
